The Faculty of Arts and Humanities was established in the year 2013. It encompasses the departments like English, Hindi, Sociology, Geography, Political Science, Economics, History, Psychology and Mass Communication. The Faculty of Arts and Humanities offers under-graduate, post-graduate, M.Phil and Ph.D. programmes in all the departments

About the Conference

The main objective of this conference is to include the discussion of self as depicted in the media, nexus of contradictory ideologies, intersectional representations, displacement, virtual selves, performance and such other negotiations. The conference will consider a deeper understanding and discussion on introspecting the self and concern of identity. The Research Papers closely associated with the theme and the sub-themes are hereby invited to be presented in the conference.

About the Theme

This conference will identify the issues to introspect the self in flux, the self in search of identity, in transformation or the self which is in process. The word flux is introduced to encourage the flow between disciplines and to promote discussion on transformative process. The theme of the conference thus focuses upon the process of joining via the agent flux thereby thinking of identity formation and introspecting various literary forms. Thus, the conference revolves around the representation of self and visual sovereignty
